About Find You Media
If You're Not Doing Something That Matters From Your Heart, Why Bother Doing It?
Find You Media is a documentary-style video production and content creation company based in Chilliwack, BC. We were founded in 2021 by Desiré Amouzou — a filmmaker, a father, and someone who's spent his whole life trying to get back to the thing he was made to do.

The Founder
Desiré Amouzou — From Montreal to Lomé to the Fraser Valley
Desiré Amouzou was born in Montreal at the turn of the 1980s. His mother, from Oliver, BC, had met his father — a Togolese businessman and the firstborn of the Amouzou family — at a wedding in New York. His father had built himself up from immigrant to entrepreneur, eventually buying a 3M Trimline franchise. In the mid-80s, the family moved to West Africa — to Togo and Côte d'Ivoire — where Des spent his childhood riding on the back of a missionary's bicycle, surrounded by extended family, and absorbing a world that looked nothing like Canada.
His father passed away when Des was young. The family returned to Montreal briefly — a jarring transition — then moved to Richmond, BC. His mother, a single mom, held things together until she couldn't. After she passed away following a long illness, Des's world shifted.
Growing up between Africa and Canada, between two cultures and two languages, Des was drawn to two things: music and images. He was a talented drummer who played shows around Vancouver's live scene. But alongside the music, something else was pulling at him — a fascination with National Geographic, Life Magazine, and the power of visual storytelling to make you feel like you'd been somewhere you'd never been.
After losing his mother, Des tried landscaping, played drums on the side, and eventually landed in front of a screen after a doctor told him to go back to school and do something he loved. What he loved was video. He enrolled at Columbia Academy, a vocational college in Vancouver, where a producer named Deborah Angrave guided him into documentary and narrative filmmaking. He created a live music series called "Three-Way Stereo" at the Purple Onion in Vancouver, producing the entire show himself. He worked his way up to training assistant director on commercial sets. The instinct for storytelling was there from the start.
Life pulled him sideways for a while. He spent years as a loss prevention investigator for TJX Canada, eventually becoming a regional internal investigator in organized crime. It was serious, sometimes dangerous work — and it wasn't where he belonged. His VP at the time, after watching training videos Des had produced on his own initiative, told him: "Desiré missed his calling." That resonated.
During those years, Des built a Fraser Valley Instagram account from scratch — one of the first of its kind in the region. BC Tourism and Chilliwack Tourism eventually acquired it for $3,500. That money bought him a Lumix GH4 camera. And that camera bought him his way back into the work he was made to do.
In 2021, after navigating injury, divorce, fatherhood, and the upheaval of COVID, Des registered Find You Media Corporation in Chilliwack, BC — a company built to house everything he'd been working toward: Find You in the Valley, Find You in the City, Find You Films, and a documentary-style production practice that serves real businesses and real communities.
Today, Des runs Find You Media as founder and Creative Director, working alongside his daughter Adriana who travels with him on road projects. The company has served 30+ businesses across the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver — from MSA Ford and Richmond Volkswagen to Paliotti's Italian and the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce. They're currently finishing their first feature documentary, "A Resting Heart," with the University of the Fraser Valley.
The work is rooted in everything Des grew up loving — the curiosity of National Geographic, the humanity of Life Magazine, and a deep belief that real people telling real stories will always be more powerful than anything a computer can generate.
Why We Exist
Creating Authentic
Find You Media was registered in 2021, but the work started long before that. Everything we do comes back to one principle: authenticity creates trust, and trust creates customers who stay. In a world where AI can generate a thousand videos overnight, the businesses that win long-term are the ones that show real people doing real things. We build that content.
We use AI. We embrace it for editing, captioning, scheduling, analytics, and scaling output. But we never let it replace the thing that actually works: a human being, on camera, telling a true story. That's the balance — modern tools, ancient instinct. That's what "Creating Authentic" means.
"I come from Africa. I come from loving National Geographic. I come from loving Life Magazine. I come from people who love to give. It's probably why I always see things in the big picture. If you're not doing something that matters from your heart, why bother doing it?"
What We Believe
Principles That Shape Every Project
Formats over trends
We believe that true scaling happens when you adopt a consistent format for your channel rather than chasing whatever's trending this week. Formats create audience habit, brand recognition, and compounding returns. Trends create one good day.
People first, always
Not everyone who contacts us becomes a retainer client — and that's fine. We offer free consultations and coaching because we're a community and we put people first. We really enjoy helping and serving. The businesses we work with, the collaborators on our team — they're all people we've intersected with who have a good heart. That's the filter.
The big picture matters
We don't just make content for this month's campaign. We think about where your business is in five years, how your audience relationship is compounding, and whether the foundation we're building today will hold when you're ready to scale. It's probably why we make documentaries and run community channels alongside client work — we're always building toward something bigger.
The Team
Real People, Good Hearts, Serious Craft
Find You Media is founder-operated by Desiré Amouzou. No one else is on full-time payroll — and that's by design. Our team is a network of independent creatives, writers, editors, and strategic partners who come together project by project. Every person here is someone Des has built a real relationship with. Every person brings something specific. There's no bench — only people who show up because the work matters.

Writer & On-Camera Host
Des first saw Cliff hosting the Abbotsford Film Festival, where a Find You 48-hour film was an audience choice favorite. They connected as collaborators — but didn't start working together until Cliff won a pitch with the Downtown Abbotsford Business Association and Des was recommended to him. Cliff raised Des's prices (he's sharp on the business side), wrote the scripts for the Abbotsford parking PSA comedies, and together they figured out how to create content for dealerships — eventually landing the Fraser Valley Auto Mall contract. Cliff traveled to SEMA in Las Vegas for FVAM content and brings editorial instinct, sharp writing, and genuine presence to every premium project and campaign.

Introduced through Cliff. Monique is a comedian, public speaker, and Christian entertainer who brings warmth, humor, and natural presence on camera. Latin and Spanish-language connection. Liz brings bilingual capability and cultural range to projects serving diverse communities and businesses across BC and beyond.
Otto Szabo
Actor, Creative & Camera Operator
Otto does more than act — he shoots his own camera work and brings genuine creative thinking to every project. He's the character behind the "Otto the Buyer" dark comedy series for Richmond Volkswagen, a format that keeps audiences coming back for the entertainment as much as the cars. Otto and Des have worked extensively together, developing ideas and formats that push beyond standard brand content.
Mert Alagoz
Primary Director of Photography
Mert fled Ukraine with his Ukrainian wife and has been growing his video and creative skills steadily. He was a key part of creating some of the standout videos in the Chilliwack Chamber Business Excellence Award series. He brings cinematic craft, technical precision, and a multilingual perspective to every production. Operates through Xova Media.
Michael Paliotti
Sales, Growth & Restaurant Consulting
Owner of Content Clicks Marketing and the family behind Paliotti's Italian restaurants (Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge). Craig Turley
Fraser Valley Eats / Surrey Insider
Founder of Fraser Valley Eats, the Surrey Eats network (Burnaby, East Van, Victoria), and Surrey Insider. Craig partners with Find You Media on restaurant content, food series production, and community storytelling. Craig brings audience reach, food industry credibility, and warm referrals to our restaurant production work.
Brendan Pace
Lead Editor & AI
Primary editor on many projects with a strong grasp of AI-augmented editing workflows. Also handles web development and landing pages. Brendan is growing into a larger role as Find You Media scales — his technical range and adaptability make him a key part of the future.
Ed Ruffell
Primary Editor
Ed has been with Find You Media for two years and has been fantastic — consistent, versatile, and growing fast. A Filipino editor with excellence in his craft, Ed handles high-volume editing retainer work across multiple clients and formats. We don't know exactly what his role will look like as we scale, but we know it's going to be a big one. So is Brendan's.
Partners & Community
Embedded in the Places We Serve
Chilliwack Connect
We're the media partner for Chilliwack Connect, one of the best-looking business directories in the Fraser Valley. Founded by Jamie Windell at KHULA® Studio and sponsored by the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce, Chilliwack Connect is a platform we believe in — and we spend real time supporting its growth through video content and member engagement. The connections run deep: Jamie was the original designer behind our first Find You logo, and his mentorship has shaped how we think about brand and community from the start.
Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce
Our relationship with the Chamber goes beyond the 16 BEA videos. Through ChilliwackConnect, through event coverage, and through ongoing community content, we're woven into the fabric of Chilliwack's business community.
The Fraser Valley & Metro Vancouver
From Downtown Chilliwack BIA and Downtown Abbotsford BA to dealerships in Richmond and restaurants expanding to Edmonton, our work spans the region. We're based in Chilliwack because we love it here — and we travel anywhere the work needs us to be.
The Find You Ecosystem
A Media Company, Not Just an Agency
Find You Media was always meant to be more than a client-service shop. It's a media company that publishes its own content, builds its own platforms, and produces its own documentaries — and the client work benefits from all of it. Here's the ecosystem:
Find You in the Valley
Running since 2021. A community-driven art project and content channel documenting Fraser Valley culture through authentic reels and video. We think of it as an art installation — a snapshot of the times we live in. Local businesses collaborate with us through this channel, gaining access to our established audience. Des originally built a Fraser Valley Instagram account that was acquired by BC Tourism — Find You in the Valley is the next evolution of that instinct.
Find You in the City
Launching for Metro Vancouver. A VIP discovery platform and content channel — helping people find local businesses, access exclusive deals, and experience the city through curated video-first content. Built on the same community-first model that made Find You in the Valley a trusted local voice. Includes a City Pass membership funnel and paid service ladder flowing into Platfrm.ai.
Find You Films
Our documentary production arm. Currently finishing "A Resting Heart" — a feature documentary produced with Dr. Keith Carlson at the University of the Fraser Valley, telling the story of a lynching in Abbotsford and the search for redemption by the ancestor of the perpetrator. We've also produced three short documentaries for "Works From Our Hands," curated by Teresa Carlson at UFV. This is where authentic content meets cinematic craft — and where the storytelling muscles we build show up in every brand video we produce.
Uncharted Canada
A concept we've pitched to Ford Canada through MSA Ford GM Mike McDonald — a national touring content series exploring Canada's communities, landscapes, and stories through a rotating fleet of Ford vehicles. If the pitch lands, it becomes a multi-season branded content play. If it doesn't, we'll likely build it ourselves — because the idea is too good and too aligned with who we are to let it go. Either way, it happens.
Platfrm.ai
Our technology platform — a white-label GoHighLevel-based CRM and AI automation system with a "pay once, own forever" hosting model. Platfrm.ai powers the websites, funnels, automations, and AI agents we build for clients. It's the operational backbone behind our marketing services.
