Terms of Use

By engaging Find You Media Corporation ("Find You Media," "we," "us," "our") for any service — including but not limited to content creation, video production, video editing, social media management, consulting, coaching, and advertising — you ("client," "you") agree to the following terms. These terms also apply to content published through our channels, including Find You in the Valley, Find You in the City, Find You Films, Carvids.co, and any other Find You Media property.
1. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property
1.1 — We retain rights to all content we create.
All photos, videos, audio, graphics, designs, artwork, and creative content produced by Find You Media remain the intellectual property of Find You Media Corporation unless a separate written agreement explicitly transfers ownership to the client.
1.2 — Standard service (collaborative and produced content).
When you engage us to create content — whether it's a reel, video, article, photo, or any other creative work — we retain the right to use that content for our own self-promotion, portfolio display, and publishing on our channels (including Find You in the Valley, Find You in the City, Find You Films, Carvids.co, findyou.media, and social media). This includes the right to publish, republish, and monetize this content at our discretion.
1.3 — Premium / full-rights purchases.
If you purchase full rights to content (such as an Exclusive Reel or a full-rights video package), you receive ownership and publishing control of the final delivered content. You govern when and how the campaign is published. However, even with full-rights purchases, Find You Media retains the right to showcase the work in our portfolio, on our website, and in client-facing materials — presented as work we produced, not as a promotion of your brand. We will not publish full-rights content as if we are collaborating with or promoting your brand without your consent.
1.4 — Collaborative content and publishing timing.
For collaborative reels and content published on our channels alongside yours, publishing timing is coordinated between both parties. For premium/full-rights content, we will post at a different time than your post and will present it as work we produced — not as a brand promotion. If you have not published the content within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to publish it on our channels unless a specific agreement with filmed talent restricts this.
1.5 — Monetization.
If content we produce goes viral or generates revenue through our channels, that monetization belongs to Find You Media unless a specific signed revenue-sharing agreement exists. This includes ad revenue, platform bonuses, sponsorship, and any other form of monetization on our channels.
1.6 — Talent and third-party rights.
Content may feature individuals whose likeness, voice, or participation is subject to separate agreements. Clients who purchase raw footage or full rights accept responsibility for ensuring compliance with any talent agreements. Find You Media is not liable for client misuse of content featuring third parties.
2. Payment Terms
2.1 — Projects under $3,000 CAD.
Full payment is required upfront before work begins. This includes collaborative reels, exclusive reels, article campaigns, coaching sessions, and any single project under the $3,000 threshold.
2.2 — Projects over $3,000 CAD.
Payment may be split based on the needs of the project. Typical structure is 50% upfront before work begins and 50% upon delivery, but specific terms will be agreed in writing before the project starts.
2.3 — Monthly retainers (editing, social media management).
Monthly retainer fees are due at the beginning of each billing cycle. Service begins upon receipt of payment.
2.4 — Reels are prepaid.
All reel production — collaborative or exclusive — is prepaid in full before filming is scheduled.
2.5 — Prices are subject to change.
All prices listed on our website and in proposals are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Price changes do not apply to projects or retainers already under a signed agreement at the time of the change. If your retainer price increases, we will discuss it with you — but we are not obligated to maintain previous pricing indefinitely.
2.6 — Community member pricing.
Community member pricing ($495 CAD per collaborative reel) is available exclusively to active members of the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce, businesses listed on ChilliwackConnect.ca, Find You in the City VIP members, and businesses referred through Fraser Valley Eats, Surrey Insider, or affiliated Eats platforms. Community pricing applies to Fraser Valley (Zone A) bookings only. Find You Media reserves the right to verify membership or referral status at time of booking. Community rates may change at any time.
2.7 — Retainer pricing and scope.
Monthly retainer pricing is based on agreed deliverables, frequency, and scope. If production volume consistently exceeds the agreed scope, Find You Media reserves the right to adjust pricing at the next billing cycle with 30 days notice.
3. Refund Policy
3.1 — All refunds are at the sole discretion of Find You Media.
We do not offer guaranteed refunds except as specifically stated in our plan descriptions (such as the Just In Case editing plan money-back guarantee on the first two submissions).
3.2 — Editing plans.
The Just In Case plan offers a 100% refund if you are unsatisfied with the first two edit submissions — you keep the videos. On Essential, Pro, and Agency plans, a 75% refund is available if you are unsatisfied with the first edit — you keep the video. After the first edit is approved, no refund is guaranteed. Partial refunds may be issued at Find You Media's discretion.
3.3 — Content creation and production.
Once a shoot has been scheduled and/or completed, no refund is guaranteed. If a project is cancelled before the shoot date, a partial refund may be issued at our discretion, minus any costs already incurred (travel, pre-production, crew booking).
3.4 — Social media management.
Non-refundable after the first edit or posting request has been submitted. If you pause your plan, unused balance may be applied within 4 months per our pause policy.
3.5 — Coaching and consultation.
Coaching sessions ($300 CAD program) are non-refundable once the first session has been scheduled. Free consultations carry no financial obligation.
4. Media Storage & Deletion
4.1 — We are not an archive.
Once a project is complete and final files have been delivered to the client, Find You Media may delete raw footage, project files, and working files at any time. We do not guarantee long-term storage of your media unless you are on an active plan that includes storage (as specified in our editing plan descriptions).
4.2 — Editing plan storage.
Essential: 3 TB cloud storage. Pro: 4 TB. Agency: 6 TB. Agency plan files are maintained for up to 1 year past the end of engagement. All other plans: files are maintained for the duration of the active retainer only.
4.3 — Raw footage delivery.
Raw footage is not included in standard deliverables. If you want raw footage, it is available at an additional cost (standard project price plus a percentage markup). Raw footage is delivered as-is — we cannot guarantee technical quality, and raw files may include between-take conversation, direction, and other content not intended for publication. By purchasing raw footage, you accept liability for its use. Unedited raw footage may not be shared publicly or presented as a finished product.
5.3 — Retainer vs one-off headshot pricing.
$40 CAD per headshot available exclusively to clients on active monthly retainers. $60 CAD per headshot for one-off bookings. $199 CAD minimum booking applies to all sessions. Retainer pricing ends if the retainer is paused or cancelled.
5. Photography & Visual Assets
5.1 — Brand photography rights.
All photographs taken by Find You Media or our contractors are the intellectual property of Find You Media. Standard brand photography deliverables include a curated selection of edited images — not unlimited raw files. Additional images or raw photo files are available at additional cost.
5.2 — Usage.
Clients receive a license to use delivered photos for their own marketing and business purposes. Find You Media retains the right to use all photos for portfolio, self-promotion, and publishing purposes.
6. Communications Consent (A2P / SMS / Voice AI / Email)
6.1 — Text messaging (A2P SMS).
By submitting your phone number through any Find You Media form, booking system, or communication channel, you consent to receiving text messages from Find You Media for the purposes of: contacting you about services, confirming appointments, following up on bookings, sending project updates, and marketing communications related to Find You Media services. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP. Service-related messages (appointment confirmations, project updates) may continue as necessary to fulfill our obligations.
6.2 — Voice AI.
You agree that Find You Media may use AI-powered voice systems to confirm appointments, provide service information, and conduct initial outreach calls. Voice AI calls will be identified as automated. If you prefer to speak with a real person, you may request a callback at any time.
6.3 — AI-generated emails.
Some emails from Find You Media may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence, including automated follow-ups, scheduling confirmations, and service communications. These may be sent by a "VA" or "Systems VA" designation. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated communications may occasionally contain errors. If anything in an AI-generated email seems incorrect, unclear, or absurd, please contact us directly to confirm. A real person will call to rectify any issues. Find You Media is not legally bound by errors in AI-generated communications that are clearly accidental or unreasonable.

7. Third-Party Platforms & Tools
7.1 — Platfrm.ai.
Find You Media uses Platfrm.ai (a GoHighLevel-based CRM and automation platform) for website development, funnel building, AI agent configuration, and marketing automation. Platfrm.ai services are priced separately from content creation, editing, and social media management. If your project requires website development, landing pages, CRM setup, or automation, these will be scoped and priced through Platfrm.ai as a separate engagement.
7.2 — Third-party platforms.
We use various third-party tools for scheduling, editing, analytics, file transfer, and communication. We are not responsible for outages, data loss, or policy changes by third-party platforms. We recommend clients maintain their own backups of all delivered files.
8. Pause & Cancellation Policy
8.1 — Retainers (editing and social media).
No long-term contracts. Cancel anytime. When you pause, unused time remaining in the current billing period is banked. You have up to 4 months to use banked credit. After 4 months, banked credit expires. Reactivation after expiration starts a new billing cycle.
8.2 — Project-based work.
Project-based engagements (reels, campaigns, video production) do not have a pause option. Once booked and paid, the project proceeds to completion per the agreed timeline.
9. Limitation of Liability
Find You Media Corporation provides creative and marketing services on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes, view counts, follower growth, sales, or revenue as a result of our services. Our "guaranteed" language in marketing materials refers to our commitment to quality and client satisfaction — not to specific measurable business results.
Find You Media is not liable for: lost revenue or business opportunities arising from content performance, errors in AI-generated communications, client misuse of delivered content or raw footage, third-party platform outages or policy changes, or delays caused by client non-responsiveness or late content delivery.
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.
10. Service Delivery Zones & Travel
10.1 — Location-adjusted pricing.
Base pricing reflects Zone A (Fraser Valley). Zone B (Metro Vancouver, 50-150 km) includes a 15% adjustment. Zone C (out-of-province, 150+ km or flights) includes a 30% adjustment. Built into the quoted price.
10.2 — Travel reimbursement.
Subcontractors are reimbursed at the CRA mileage rate ($0.73/km first 5,000 km, $0.67/km after) or actual travel costs. These are factored into client pricing.
10.3 — US-based work.
All prices in CAD unless otherwise agreed. US shoots may be adjusted for USD operating costs.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or from services provided by Find You Media Corporation shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
12. Changes to These Terms
Find You Media reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
